Peacock Feathers Graduation 2 tier Cake

Congratulations to Courtney!  Class of 2012

 What a great accomplishment & we wish you the best in your future! 

Courtney requested to have a design for her Graduation Cake that would have peacock feathers, orange background w/ peacock blue colors. 

 Her cake flavor she chose was Bodacious Banana/ no cinnamon, w/ Ambers amazing caramel for the filling, orange buttercream.  

We created the peacock feathers from sugar paste, hand painted, for the feathery part of the feather we used piped buttercream. 

 2012 and Graduate Frame on top was created from fondant.  Orange circles for border were also created from fondant w/ orange shimmer.  Cake was an 8 inch and 10 inch square stacked.  

Cute as a Button 1st Birthday Smash Cake & Cupcakes w Animal Toppers

Happy 1st Birthday Natalie!  Yes, she is cute as a button.  Natalie loves ducks, giraffes, monkeys and turtles.  So we created cupcake toppers out of fondant of all her favorite animals.  Smash Cake and cupcakes were marble cake - vanilla cake swirled w/ chocolate ganache, electric green buttercream.  Smash Cake w/ #1 sculpted from fondant, fondant ribbons and buttons decorated her smash cake.

Yard Man Mower Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday Allan!  They sent us a picture of Allan on his YARD MAN Mower and ask to create a cake from their picture.  Allan's Mom use to make him a chocolate cake w chocolate coffee frosting.  We created a 10 inch square chocolate kahlua cake w chocolate coffee ganache, buttercream on top in green.  Fence was created out of fondant, Yard Man Mower and Allan cake topper  was also created out of fondant and gumpaste. Grass was created from green buttercream.  All was edible.

Electric Meter Box Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday Kevin!  Kevin works for FPL, his friends had us create this birthday cake just for him.  Love seeing what kind of ideas for cakes they come up with.  

Cake flavor was chocolate w buttercream.  Wishing you a great year Kevin!

Snap on Tool Box 3D sculpted cake

Ellie wanted to surprise a friend coming home with a Snap on Tool Box 3D sculpted cake.  The Cake flavor was chocolate w crushed reeses peanut but cups and buttercream for the filling, covered w chocolcate ganache then decorated w fondant.  She requested for one of the tool box drawers to be open to show the tools.  On the base we put black and white check fondant w texture to resemble the floor w sculpted fondant nails, screws & washers laying around.  The sides of the base had fondant silver screw  heads  on top of the black floor base.  Enjoy!

Shabby Chic Peony Rustic Wedding Cake

Emily brought a couple photos of designs that she liked. A Shabby Chic Rustic Wedding Cake  - We incorporated the peony flower w/ the rustic buttercream from her two photos and created Emily's Design for her Shabby Chic Wedding Cake - we created a custom peony - made from gumpaste flower between 5 in - 6 in (diameter of flower) placed on top of the 6in round top tier.  Her 4 tier round cake sizes were- 6in - 8in - 10in - 12in round cakes - placed on a wood slab cake stand purchased by Brides family.  Her Peony flower was Shabby Chic w/ rustic sides, neutrals, w antique silk, champagne and blush colors shaded on the peony flower.

2nd Tier - Vanilla Cake w Caramel Apples Filling  

3rd Tier - Citrus Grove - Vanilla Cake w Lemon Curd Filling

Covered in natural buttercream piped in a horizontal layers to give the effect of rustic natural look.

Lil' Rebel 1st Birthday Cake and Smash Cake

Happy 1st Birthday Russ!

2 Tier Lil' Rebel 1st Birthday Cake - Bottom Tier Chocolate Cake w chocolate pastry cream - top tier was vanilla cake w vanilla pastry cream - covered in buttercream - decorated w/ black  plaid diamonds - black fondant ribbon bands w/ white studs , blue diamonds on bottom tier.  Lil' Rebel - created from gumpaste and also stars on spiral wires shooting from the cake.  Hand painted name plaque to match cake was placed on the front bottom tier.  A matching smash cake was created to match the large centerpiece cake.  A cake topper was created to match the birthday candle and partyware that would be used for his party.  Smash cake - chocolate cake w chocolate pastry cream.  Russ should have lots of energy for his birthday!  Yum chocolate chocolate!

Mommy to Be Baby Shower Cake & Cupcake Tower

Hand Sculpted Mommy to Be sits up on her Baby Shower Cake & Cupcake tower along w/ diaper bag, onesie, baby blanket, baby bib.  Different shades of pink & random sizes of circles, with a matching fondant ribbon on base of cake.   6 in round cake - layers of vanilla & layers of strawberry cake w/ fresh strawberry w scrumptious strawberry glaze, covered in buttercream and fondant accents.  On the other 3 tiers of the cupcake tower sits 30 cupcakes strawberry and some vanilla with strawberry filling also. Pink Buttercream tops 15 cupcakes w/ baby pacifiers and 15 were topped w/ handmade pink and white flowers.  Best Wishes to the Mommy and the babies soon arrival.

Yellow Rose Birthday Cake

Happy 95th Birthday Annie!  We created a sugar yellow rose birthday cake w lace design for Annie this week.  What an amazing sweet lady.  The 10 in round cake was coconut cake w coconut cream filling, vanilla buttercream.  We hand sculpted two roses for Annies cake and created the lace design in yellow tones.  Loved creating this for you.

Red Velvet 8 in Birthday Cake

Today was Sammy's 66th Birthday.  Happy Birthday Sammy, wishing you a great one.  Red Velvet w cream cheese frosting, chocolate print with fondant rope for a border.

Cheerleader Birthday Cake

Happy 9th Birthday Kayla!  We created a birthday cake for Kayla, cheerleader theme, stars and megaphones.  Cookies and Cream Cake, Vanilla Cake w Vanilla Bean Buttercream, fondant accents, fondant starts on spiral wires w accents of stars on each tier.  A banner to say Happy 9th Birthday Kayla and a banner "bring it on".  We also created brownie pops to match for cake to resemble pom poms, cupcakes w fondant megaphone cupcake toppers, and also a tray of cookies.   Anxious to see how your pictures of how you set your party up.  Have a fun birthday Kayla!

Build A Bear Bunny personal cake & cupcakes

Build A Bear personal 4 inch cake w hand sculpted bunny and heart emblem saying Happy Birthday w/ matching theme cupcakes - buttons and hearts made from fondant - red velvet cupcakes and cream cheese buttercream.  Our cake and cupcakes went down to join Mora at Build A Bear with her friends, after creating their special animal they went to the food court to enjoy their cupcakes and Mora's Cake.      Happy Birthday Mora!

Aston Martin Birthday Cake

This cake was created for Dino on his 70th Birthday.  Laney, chose a cake w fresh strawberries,  Dino fond of strawberries, so she picked our - Scrumptious Strawberry - vanilla cake w our special scrumptious strawberry filling made w fresh strawberries, covered in buttercream and decorated w a fondant Aston Martin Car 2d style to resemble Dino's car that he drives.    Happy 70th Birthday Dino,  wishing Dino a great year ahead.

Bern's Steak House on ABC News for their Holiday Desserts

Amber Thomas - Assistant Pastry Chef and Kim Yelvington - Executive Pastry Chef represented Berns Steak House Holiday Creations on ABC News this Saturday to show their creations they are making for the holidays. Amber creates these holiday dessert for Berns on a daily base.

Copper Kettle Tea Pot 3d sculpted Birthday Cake

We sculpted a 3d Copper Tea Kettle Birthday Cake for Alan to give to Kathy for her birthday.  It was Sweet Potato Maple Bourbon Cake w cream cheese filling, white chocolate ganache decorated w/ fondant.  All was edible.  The cake base board was to resemble a wood board.  We are showing the cake with the handle up and the handle to the side.  They collect copper tea kettles so it really with with the party theme.  We also made mini cupcakes vanilla w cookie in bottom, topped w/ chocolate ganache.  Happy Birthday Kathy, Was a great party.  Enjoyed creating this for you.

 

Wild West Birthday Cake Party

Wild West 1st Birthday sculpted cake town, cupcakes w/ cupcake toppers and smash birthday cake. This one was created for Rylan my Grandson and Amber's nephew. He was having a wild west birthday party to match a toy bench that was one of his gifts. The cakes: Sheriffs Office - General Store, Rylans Toy Store, and RJT Barn. The cakes were cookies n cream, two were chocolate cake w/ cookies n cream and two vanilla cake w/ cookies n cream covered in chocolate ganache, three covered in fondant for the buildings, the store fronts were created w fondant. There were matching cupcakes w/ toppers: cowboy hats, lasso rope, tumble weeds, ponies and sheriff badges. The flavors of the cupcakes: carrot cake, red velvet, chocolate, chocolate w/ white chocolate chips filled w cream cheese filling, buttercream on top. Rylans cake was a vanilla cake w/ cookies n cream filling, chocolate ganache covered w fondant. Topper: No. 1, stars and rope were made from fondant. Lil' Sheriff w stick pony sat on top of a wooden barrel, pony and trough w/ many tumbleweeds. Pony was peeking out of Rylan's Barn. All were edible. Rylan was slow about eating his first cake, but by the end had made a pretty good mess. It was a very fun party with many great family and friends to join in the fun. Cory had prepared an awesome dinner for everyone, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken, Beans and Grits. We enjoyed everyone who came to visit and celebrate w/ Rylan on his 1st Birthday. Rylan says "Thank you for all the great gifts" and we also say thank you for being so kind.
